This comes kinda full circle from what I said originally. Just match up the colors or have all the mesh stuff treated to the same finish and it looks like a done deal. Personally I'd have them all powder coated in the same color to resist chipping down the road. (pun intended) LOL

I have the same problem. Why didn't they put the same style of grill on all areas of the front end. I'm trying to have mine custom done since I work close by to a welder. After I get it, since I prefer the look of the upper grill, I want to match the upper grill which is close to a nickel color. So I'll just nickel plate the pieces when he gets the metal.

I'd have them formed prior to the plating process tho. Otherwise it may get damaged while the curves are being formed.

Totally agree with you both, after the nickel gets plated on it, nothing will be able to penetrate it. Thanks for the suggestions and the subject matter.

After you get them formed I have them all plated. That would look sweet and hold up to the elements.

I decided against nickel plating due to exposure to the elements. I work in a plating shop and will atleast put a (cad palte) corrosion preventive on them before painting the grill that beautiful gunmetal color. I'm not too big on the chrome either for the Torched Penny color. I'm wasn't too familiar with the nickel holding up against the elements on the road.

Thanks for all the reponses. Quick question for those RS 4.0 guys, did your xB come with floor mats that had Scion written on it, or the actual RS badged mats as the window sticker states. Just curious, trying to see if my dealer trying to pull a fast one on me.

If you got the regular Scion ones you got had I do believe. No biggie tho. They can order you the right ones and you might get to keep the regular ones for daily duty!

From what i've seen, the lower 2 grills are always sold as a set. Mostly because it would look dumb only having one or the other.
