Wow !!! Love the RAGTOP, How can you beat that. Big Beautiful and no heat from the sun. Plus classic style! I would and am going to Opt for the Ragtop. Take a chance and be alittle different than everyone else. Now I just have to find one installer in MA.

I have glass Wabasto, but live in Seattle. If i lived somewhere like AZ, i'd definately go ragtop, but not the Webasto, not very big, I've seen bigger rags installed, they look much better IMO.

You want to reinforce the roof for several reasons. Eventually the doors could sag and cause body fit issues, the car will handle differently, the ragtop could develop leaks and most importantly your safety in any form of a crash.
The car has a crumple free zone designed into it and the roof is supposed to help protect that. You have weakened this crumple free zone and a side impact or even a rear impact will enter farther into your crumple free zone.

If your talking about me? It's not so much experience. Just I do everything myself, so I jump in and do it. I like everything to be perfect and It's never perfect if someone else does it. No one handles my property as carefully as I do. No matter how I explain to please be easy with this or that, I then realize 5 mins later they aren't being as gentle as I am. I'm waaay too particular. But pretty much I will do anything myself, I learn as I go. But i've been in the custom scene for 12 years or so.
