Ragtop or Panoramic Sunroof???
#41
Im sorry but the ragtop just looks ugly in my opinion. It just doesnt look stock. And sunroof gives the car more of stock feel to it. Honestly from a safety point view to. I would feel better with sunroof being there.

My car is far from stock, and I don't want it to look stock. But that's fine, it's the mini trucker in me. Now I have a mini car. It's alot better than a sunroof because I can fully open it all the way, all 50 inches.

A buddy of mine down here in Houston has a HUGE glass top on his xB2 and it looks good but it is really loud on the highway and his subs pushed the weather stripping out. Might just do two moonroofs

Webasto no longer makes the folding fabric sunroof and the panoramic moonroof. They do make a regular sized moonroof. I had a Webasto dealer install one in my xB a few months after I bought it. It was $1,250 in a deal with Katzkin leather seats for the ame amount. With a bubble deflector, the open moonroof is eerily silent and draft free under two conditions: all windows up, or all windows down.

As to supports, the flimsy stamped channel across the top of the car is knocked loose from it's two tack welds, and a strong steel frame with two cross beams is bolted into the top of the car to carry the track, glass and motor. The top of the car becomes stronger than it was before.
