Default Rockblocker Full Kit Pro on BOP xB

Got this done two weeks ago and I've been waiting until I got to wash/wax ...

Thanks to all who have given me advice on the product, Tomas, Rockblocker, etc..
Installer did a great job, I'm very satisfied.

if you look close enough on the hood, you can see the line running horizontally

It did come out great, I'm thinking about the head light covers next if they're easy enough to do myself.

If anybody wants additional pics of the front, let me know. I can't get the yahoo photo to upload via an Img link in here, so I may need to get a photo bucket account or something free.

I had the headlight covers done same time as the front end install. Headlights were Rockblocker film, and the rest was 3M Scotchcal from my local installer. Looking good.

btw, your 'bar" behind the lower grill looks crooked exactly like mine. I noticed it when washing the box over the weekend. Is it supposed to look like yours and mine? Anybody know?

Yeah it does look kind of odd....I think it's supposed to be that way....I just changed my oil and while I was under there I didn't particulary look out for that "bar" but nothing seemed wrong or dangling either.

yeah its defintely a clear bra, it wraps pretty much the entire front bumper area, plus some of the hood, which is what you can barely see in the photo.

The bugs come off a little nicer now....

I'm seriously thinking about doing this on my next box...can you really SEE the edge on the hood?? What about on a black box?

How much does this cost and how long does it take to put it on? Would I have to leave my box somewhere??

THANKS guys!!!

Check this link for the pics of the product

You cant really see it unless you are right on top of it. AS for price that would depend on how much you want to cover. It takes 2 hours for me to install it and I go to Vegas all the time. Been there four times this year so if you want it installed let me know or you can come down to PHX and we can do it here for you.

I'll go to the site right now, but I test drove a Mazda5 today and it had this on it or something similar and you could totally see it. It was lifting and you could see where they stopped it near the seams ...

How far is Phx from LV??

well if you look hard enough, you're going to be able to see the edges, but from about 5 feet back, I can't tell. And the material shouldn't lift at all...an occasional, tiny air bubble, which can be fixed by lighly poking it with a very thin syringe, to let the air pocket out.

LV to PHX is 4 1/2 hours. I bet you that you saw a product called Venture Tape. That stuff really shows up and doesnt look good at all. Or it could have been the installation of the product. Check out the desert and salt region folks. There are tons of them that have it on their vehicles.

Hey I found the thread I was looking for!!

Well the stuff I saw was on a Mazda and you could totally see where it met the seams bc it wasn't "to the edge". Then on the hood it was peeling up.

I was wondering, not that Im against your product bc Im NOT....is there any other way to go besides this or a bra? Like an extra clear coat? Im really just curious bc its strange that the chips seem to show that there is only ONE coat of paint on these cars! I mean the feel between the paint and the body is about as deep as a layer of fingernail! lol

I wonder how many chips Id get from here to AZ!

We're trying to go to the Grand Canyon either end of Sept or early Oct.

Yeah, if the kit is not installed correctly it will be more visible especialy if the edges are lifting up. There really isnt much choice.

Do nothing
Clear Bra
Black Bra
or dont drive it

Getting another coat of clear is bank and huge time commitment and it will still not help as much as the clear bra will.

I have done the drive from Vegas to PHX four times this year and the road has been pretty good as far as dirt and rocks go. Sure I am protected up front but I also have picked up any chips where the product isnt.

If we can help let us know.

Sher, take a look at this post: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...002770#1002770

There's links there to three more posts answering most questions.

Vanilla (my xB) has the 3M film on her in all the pics in my profile. Can't see it unless you are close and looking for it.

Like I keep telling people: "Choose one: (1) Nearly invisible lines at the edges of the protection, or (2) Road Acne..."

Get it, Sher, get it. :D
