Default Shaved and Suicide

Hey I was looking at shaving the door handles on my xB as well as get the popper on them obviously not to mention suicideing the back 2 doors. Anyone have an idea how much something like that would run? If at all possible names of garages in the Orlando FL area that do that kind of work as well just incase I can afford it. Thanks.

alot morew than 4k including paint.

i'd gander around 5 -10 k depending on the shop. doing rear suicides will not be easy on these cars. shaving and paint isnt hard but you wanna get a large area painted have it blended well.

suicides have been tried and failed on a few xB's... metal is too thin to support any weight

When I looked into it it was about 4k for suicide doors. I nixed the idea.

I heard about the failures as well but I was thinking of making it like truck style where the fron door has to be open in order for the back ones to open so the wind can't mannage to get in there and fly the back doors open. Or did you mean that they just straight fall off?

I have an Element now (trading it in) and I HATE the suicide doors. Thought I would love them, but they suck to me.

You also need to think about safety concerns.

The area where you would mount the hinge on the rear wheel well area, is to thin. It would take a crap load of work + design to be able to make it work. I think you might have better luck doing a 4 door lambo over suicides.
