Why go to street beat? Just get 'em directly from the manufacturer. We just put mine in this weekend.
We pix'd up the complete install here.....

"As a pre-footnote, the roof is still as strong as it was before, those roof braces aren't welded into the roof they are just tacked from passenger side to driver's side and held on with body sealer at the arch of the brace."
A ragtop is not watertight, it's water resistant. My XB hasn't been a daily for quite some time and when it rains, it's parked. If you think your gonna cut a 36"x55" hole in your roof and have no leaking issues, your in for a rude awakening

The roof can not be as strong because you have cut a giant hole in it. Unless you did exstinsive baracing. Even cars with OEM sunroof generally are not as ridged as their brethren and they actually have extra braces installed from the factory.
It does look neat though.

with the silicone top and bottom, the sandwich plate we made, and SS hardware with nylocks, its not going anywhere.
unless you roll it and get T-boned in the roof, it's fine.

A member in the thread (Ctruss) had this Webasto folding canvas Hollandia 400 about 5 years ago, but has not posted in over a year:
Webasto stopped making the soft sunroofs but still makes the Holandia 640 moonroofs like I got:
The canvas roofs don't actually seal. They overlap the roof, and rely on a little front deflector to keep rain from blowing under the edge at speed. Carwashes can still spray under the sides. A good roof like the Webasto would have a perimeter gutter and drain system to lead any leakage away.
Webasto roofs come with new steel beams supporting the steel frame of the opening, and are probably stronger at bracing the top of the body than the stamped and tack-welded beams that are removed.
Over the years canvas roofs suffer weather and mechanical damage much more than glass moonroofs. My moonroof works and looks like-new after four years now.
