is that those little packages of silicone beads you get in shoes and other things...where do you put them in the headlight housing to reduce or get rid of the fogging

when you guys say "fogging," you mean condensation inside your headlights right? Not "hazing" like it's dirty?

If there's condensation inside, an easy fix that I've learned on my own was getting a small bag of dessicant (this is the silicone beads you speak of, alot of photographers use it to keep moisture away from their camera equipment) and wrapping a line of dental floss around the bag and taping it to the bag so that you will have something to fish the bag out later on. From there, just pop it into one of the bulb holes and then tie the dental floss to somewhere on the outside of the headlight housing. Once the moisture is gone, you can just pull the bag out with the floss. My turn signal housing on my old miata had condensation in the lens, so I ended up just leaving the bag in there and the problem never came back.

Hope this helps you.

I work at Acura and those desicant bags are basically shoved in the housing somewhere behind the bulb access on Acura's cars. BUT.. what I found was the 2004-05 Acura TSX has headlight fogging issues, they came up with a recall to install some clips to squeeze the housing back together and it works. The clips fit on the sonars as well, so far so good no more "aquarium" headlights. I am still "testing" but if it does prove to work, i'll get a few sets of the clips to offer on here.. like $6

pic of clips..

yeah same here i would definitely buy a set from you to try it out...let me know when you would be interested in selling one...i installed my sonars last night and they are already fogging around the high beam section of the housing, i just dont want it to stain the lens or something to that nature, and i know with all this salty air that it will happen.

I'm having a bit of trouble with my Sonar halos. My passenger side halos work fine. But my driver side doesn't. Is the green/orange wire only on one side of the car (behind only one headlight)? I've spliced the power for the driver side into 2 different wires that were a green/orange or red color. But neither worked.

so i have noticed that my projectors are bouncing when i am driving...is there a way to "tighten" them up, i know there is 2 screws on back of the housing.

The one that easiest to get to (on top) adjusts the height of the lens...but what does the bottom one do, is it for the high beams or something...

anyone else notice this???

If anyone is interested in the clips for the Sonars that Acura/Honda made for the TSX, the part number is 06336-SEA-305.
It says HONDA on the plastic bag and you get 4 clips for less than 4 dollars.

good luck

I have the sonars. I sealed every connecting part all the way around, front and back, with clear silicone. I even made little gaskets for the rubber covers on the back out of the silicone, and little gaskets around where the turn lights go in. I then let them sit for 2 days with silica packets inside before putting them on the car.
...over a year later and they have never fogged and look as clear as the day I put them on.

I live in the Cincinatti area, so we have all kind of extremes of sun, rain, snow, heat, humidity.

I think they are functionally better than the stock lights, and way better looking on the box!!
