Default Wade Vent Visors: A review.

I just got them installed today. Ordered them from deflectors4less.com and they were $59.99 with free shipping. I ordered them on a tuesday and they were delivered straight from the factory (Wade) on Saturday. They come in a nice roomy box with lots of padded protection. Clear concise instructions and came with the alcohol cleaning pads. The visors themselves are awesome. Flawless craftsmanship, perfect fit.

Installation took 5 minutes...now I just have to leave the windows up for 3 days for the 3m tape to cure and for the door seal rubber to mold to the visor. Installed they look freaking awesome.

Here are some pics I snapped:

Opinions, comments and questions are welcomed.

Yeah..it fits in the window channel from all the way down next to the mirror all the way to the back edge.

Buying and putting mods on the box is so much fun. :D

I used to have these visors. There use to be a thread about this visors cracking every now and then. Unfortuneatly mine cracked also, so i ended up just selling them. They also make ur window sill wider so the window wont sit correctly after the visors are removed.

They do function however, I probably jus got a bad batch. I ended up jus getting e'sams.

WEll, they seem to be pretty flexible...flexible enough for me to bend them to fit into the channel. There is some bulging at the weatherstripping on one end, but nothing noticeable. The benefits these offer outweigh any "possible" problems. I hate using the a/c and these help a whole lot with wind noise.

I purchased the wade in channel vent visors and found them to be a terrible fit, It would have damaged the channel and possibly the door itself. I really wanted a set but after test running them with the windows going up and down and seeing my doors flex and the glass force it's way into the channel i figured these are nothing but trouble and not worth the money. I sent them back and spent weeks dealing with an ebay'r that doesn't like to answer up to e mails. What a pain in the a$$.........I would like to find a set but like others i have had for previous vehicles i would like the type that mount outside the channel, they have always been trouble free before. Good luck with yours though.

Well, from what I can tell and from reading the instructions, one you apply the tape, and let it "cure", the rubber mouldings will mold to the added thickness of the visors allowing the window to roll up and seat fine. I've read several testamonials on here stating the same thing. Aftre the 3 days are up I'll post an update on how the windows function.

Thanks for the input though...it's what makes a site like this so great.

I put these on in july and only have one problem. The driver side next to the mirror slid loose and the tape wont stick again,so I will probly try to take out and re -tape.

i just bought the wade's last week and willl be installing them this week. i like the esam's look and all but in my opinion the pros for the wade's out weigh the cons. since these are in-channel and not double stick taped on like the esam's (i think this is how they're installed) someone can't just run up and yank them off. also cost...at almost $200 cheaper....its hard to resist. i do however like the look of the esam's more...i feel that they look more stout.
