IMO, the bumper and leading edge of the hood should be white then fade into yellow then orange and the tips could be red with a fine black pin stripe around the edges and shadowing.

Silver ghost flames would be HOT also. It's your car, try looking in some magazines to see all the different kinds and colors there are. Then there is that guy that can make it look like real flames, Those are my favorite kind.

What effect are you going for ? They should be a part of the whole scheme of things, i.e. high tech, old school, traditional etc. depends on the wheels and other body mods. Do you want it to look fast standing still ? Or make your box look taller ? There are lots of considerations besides color. Take the other guys advice and look through a ton of mags. Not just tuner mags either. Get some good old street rod type mags. There are as many styles of flames as there are colors. Having been involved with hot rods my whole life and paint & graphics my profession, nothing stands out like a nice flame job. Take your time and find a pic of what you want, and work with some color ideas. And lastly make sure who ever does them REALLY knows what they are doing. And post some pics when your done !

The blue xB color is dark enough that you might consider doing a darker color for the flames instead of the traditional lighter color. Maybe a near-black color for them. Maybe even a true black.
With a metallic finish it might look cool.
Most flame jobs don't do much for me, but every now and then there's one that's just beautiful.

I had a royal blue ranger with House Of Kolor paint flip flop style that went from red to orange to gold and it was phat. I got more compliments when the sun hit the paint. I will be doing flames on my xB soon, just have to save up for the paint.

I think flames should be reserved for cars that are actually, I don't know....fast?
But that said, I think some white 'ghost flames' might look nice. I would use a neutral color whatever you do, I think yellow or any non-neutal color would be too over the top, just MHO.

i think you should go with GOST FLAMES! because first off gost flames are always nice and not to many have them, but you have to make sure the peeps that do them know what they are doing. and if they do they will be sweet, expecially with a blue xB.
