perhaps just as important as color - maybe more important - is the style of the flame. the shape of each flame and overall composition. be it the long skinny kind like many choppers have or the tribal kind that so many 4x4 trucks have.
please tell me you're having a pro do this. nothing looks worse than bad execution of an already dicey idea. be subtle. you can always go louder. I love the idea of ghost flames. somewhere on here I saw a hot lava w/ a new CF hood and flames were ghosted on. pretty tasty.
for more fun w/ flames, consult your local tattoo palor or go to www.killerpaint.com

before you get flames you need to think about the flames you want. do you want
- traditional flames
- ghost traditional flames
- true fire flames
if you are going to for traditional then i would work with silver, white, dark grey and then some light blue pin striping

if you have like a light blue metallic paint i would suggest like a lime green flames, If you have ever seen the TLC or Discovery episode w/ jesse james & his metallic blue & green bike w/ jockey shifter. It was an old episode but that paint scheme on the bike looked killer.
