Default Xb Bumper Protector

Does anyone happen to know the correct instructions for installing a bumper protector on an Xb?

Thanks,

The rear bumper appliqué?
Clean the bumper, center it and stick.

Or just use it as a pattern and cut one from some clear 3M stuff. It will protect way better and be almost invisable. Those things are ugly after a few months of use. That's why I never got one in the first place.

That bB logo could be removed and replaced with something else like an xB or TRD one.

I disagree. I've had the OEM protector on the rear bumper of my xB since I purchased it new in 2006, and the bumper protector looks like new. And, this is on an xB that is completely covered in road salt from a horrible Milwaukee winter.

They are nice to look at but I'm terrified of getting it dented while loading stuff over it.

bah now i don't want it :'-(

man i just thought this. You can rhino line anything now right? you can even get it color matched. a guy that came in for his oil changes all the time had his bumper Rhino lined, color matched too. this is on a Honda Ridgeline. it looks durable but then again we have cheap flexible bumpers that now i think as i type this, wont be able [i]just[/] to do a small section of the bumper

I have one and love it. It looks just as good now as when I installed it over a year ago.

I still say just cut a piece of clear 3M and stick it. You'll get the same protection without the worry of faded dots when you go to remove that black protector down the road.

Yeah, it's basically the same stuff the Scion one is made of. Sandpaper with adhesive backing.
Why did they make it with holes in it? That allows those areas to become scratched over time.

yeah that what steers me away from it. the poor 4.0 xB s come with them standard, with a screaming "RELEASE SERIES 4.0" all on the back of it.

I'm surprised that some vinyl place hasn't scanned one for dimensions and offer it in a variety of different colors minus the holes of course. hehe
