Default xb open deck grill

I've really been thinking about this upper front grill for along time but have been having a hard time justifying the pricing on it compared to other upper front grills

Here's my question.
Seeing as this grill is completely closed, does this affect my engine performance much. I figure the radiator is behind the lower grills so closing up the upper grill with the open deck grill should be fine right.

yeah.. it's actually better if there isn't any air flow there...

the air needs to go into the lower part.. and if any air goes thru that upper part, it'll make the air flow worse.

Exactly, those prices are crazy high. They keep selling them tho so they must have enough demand.

I got mine at ssuperstore.com and they are on sale right now.

I paid the $199. I don't think that is a high price considering that if you pay $99 for a grill and have to get it painted it will cost the same if not more.

That's better but still too rich for me. I hated paying 40 bucks for a stock BSP grill 2 years ago.

LOL - I paid $40 for a polar white grill from www.toyotascionparts.com pull-off parts section.

anyway, yeah, the stock grill is closed. I sometimes drive with my grill off because of these puppies

and i noticed that the engine bay gets soooo friggin dirty! i dont know how people with billet grills can put up with it. i dont drive with the grill off often, but the few times i have done it, it has gotten the engine bay pretty damn dirty!@#

so it's better if it's closed. and putting the OD grill on an xB is hawt - only seen one other box with that mod.

Too bad you can't get one with the Scion logo on it instead of that OD thing. I can imagine the questions that will come from that badge. "What does the OD stand for" and such.
