Default 15" rims for my xB ???? should I get ?

I don't have too much money to spend on rims, so I was going to buy new wheels for my xb. The only problem is they would only be 15", and put on the tires that came with the car. What is everyones opinion on that? Would that look stupid?

I'm in the same boat when it comes to bucks for wheels. it will look fine w/15's on it .look at boxcar ******* it looks good. i like the idea of using my factory tires until they are worn out. I've got moon hub caps on mine. planning on dropping it soon.

no, thats not stupid. if you don't want to up the size of the wheel, you can easily find some nice looking 15's out there.

find something you like and slap on that box.

Will the stock tires that are on a 5.5" wide wheel fit OK on a 7" wide wheel?

You have a few options... First you can get wheels in a 15x6 size but they will still be around 400 bucks for a set. Then there is the option of getting either 16 or 17's as a set off the internet. Most places have packages that start around $500 and up with free shipping and no sales tax. IMO, 17 inch wheels and tires for a little bit more than just 15 inch wheels (only) would be a much better choice. Then you would have the stockers for the winter time and could switch bach and forth whenever you wanted. Good luck with which ever way you decide. If you need places to check for wheel and tire specials either google it or PM me and I can give you a few. Peace

Personally 7 inch wheels are too wide for a 185/60/15. This size would work on a 6 inch wheel though. For a 7 inch wheel you would need more of a 205/60/15 or wider

I put 15 x 6.5' Enkei RS-5 wheels on my box with the OEM tires. They work and look great, IMHO. I'd post up a picture, but I have no clue how.

You can phisically do it but the sidewalls end up being extended too much for such a narrow tire. Kinda like what they used to do on the lowriders. It was too unsafe for my liking

Thanx alot everyone. The only problem I'm having is the smallest I can find is 15 x 6.5. That doesn't sound like it can fit. Any opinions on where I can find 15 x 6, or is 15 x 6.5 a good enough of a fit?

Here is Tire Racks listing of just 15 inch wheels but after shipping you'll be close to what you could by 17's with tires. They say you can do 185's on a 7 inch wheel so if you really want to stick with 15's go for it. Wheel #17 out of the 21 is actually only 65 bucks each. That sounds reasonable. Checked shipping for my location it would only be 36 bucks, so you could get alloys for just under 300 bucks in 15x6.5

In fact, if you purchased the Scion's 15X 6.5 aluminum wheels, the service department simply slaps the original stock tires on this new width. If this caused a hazard, corporate wouldn't allow it.

15s look good on the box -- JDM style.

I heard the factory alloys were 15x6? 15x6.5 still isn't too bad and you can use 15x7's but they cause the narrow tires beads to be too far spread apart and ends up looking funny

My wheel dealer said the 6.5" were fine and they look fine. He recommended NOT going any wider than that with the stock tire size.

I looked at the specs for the factory alloy wheels and I'm positive the size is 15 X 6.5. The service guys said the stock tires can easily fit without safety compromise, and the look isn't funny. But you're right, 7inches or more might be stretching it (pun intended).

I have stock tires (what came with the Box) on my rims. 15" ENKEI RPOJ-2 rims...

While I am thinking about it, why do GOODYEARS come with the Box, and BRIDGESTONE tires come with the xA...they are both the same tire, you know, size and all...So does anyone know why that is?

Tirerack recommends the stock size tire for the 15x7' s I was looking at. So did Discount tire, both very reputable. Search for Voxx wheels on this site and you will see stock tires on the 15x7. Besides they are goodyears and won't last very long so if you figure on going wider get the wider rims.
