2005 2.0 RS intake bypass valve
Hi!
While I was taking my air filter out for cleaning, I noticed my intake bypass valve was broken in two. So, it’s been sucking unfiltered engine bay air.Not cool, literally.
Amazon has them, but they’re $80.
The current bypass has 2.25” tubes, and the 3” tubed bypasses are much cheaper, so can I run size adapters in and out of a 3” bypass instead? Is that gonna mess anything up?

2005 Scion xB Release Series 2.0: Solar Yellow
The most retina challenging of the RS models is the bright Solar Yellow xB Release Series 2.0. Exterior features include color-keyed side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators, color-keyed rear spoiler, a tunable sport muffler, and a metal sport mesh grille.
Inside the urban utility vehicle, stainless steel xB RS 2.0 appliqués line the door sills and black fabric with yellow accents are designed to match the brilliant yellow exterior paint. Just 2,500 units of the Scion xB RS 2.0 were made.
