Looks like it fared pretty well for a 40mph collision. Hope everything is ok!
I'd beat the ____ out of you if you layed a hand on a little old lady, or any woman for that matter.

An older lady in a Towncar made me test my brakes and stability first time. Traffic is flowing 60ish on higway, lady pulls out to make a left in a new Towncar. I am thinking, she sees me, she will wait in the center for me... ...no...NO NO!!! I am doing around 60 with traffic, and suddenly with barely a few car lengths in front of me she pulls out, I brake and swerve left (I already planned it as I watched her, and it was clear). Unfortunetely, somebody was also pulling out and making a right in that lane in front of me too. I was amazed, the XB swerved and braked to nearly a complete stop without the slightest slipping or loss of control. I know I never had another vehicle that could of avoided such an accident like that with ease.
I live in Florida, needless to say any Lincoln Towncars or Caddies, ect are a big warning sign to LOOK OUT. I see them run stop signs and redlight and give you the finger while doing it not giving the slightest concern for anyone. Wonderfull meds they must be on nowdays, lol.

Yeah, that is one thing that amazed me first time I drove in
Florida: The number of 15-20 year old, showroom perfect,
Cadilacs and Lincolns with Jersey plates ambling down the
streets and sidewalks, unconcerned with anything...
Looks like your box took the impact pretty well. What
happened? She decide to cruise by right in front of you?
Details, details!

Yeah unlike Corzine I walked away from this. Not even a bruise. She decided to turn left in front of me without looking first. I saw her but was too close too stop. Her second sentence after "Oh my God, I am so sorry" was" I don't have any insurance" Flames were an experiment. Doubt if Parting out . Car is total loss coming in at 10.985 est cost. German shephard in back was ok also, As was other driver. Everybody went home ok. Her damage is repairable compared to mine thats what makes me so mad!!!
Re: the rims were already scratched up from, the fact that dealer owned vehicle as loaner before me. Not really close up good shape. Lots of nicks around edges.

Sorry to hear that. I really think they should institute mandatory driver testing once you reach a certain age. I know noone at the designated age would like it but public safety needs to be the number 1 concern. Also doctors are supposed to alert the DMV when someone has a condition or is on meds and shouldn't be driving. I say fine the doctors if they don't take care of their responsibility.
Definitetly keep the rims. Those are $250 each from the dealer and I think that's the only place to get those. I'm putting mine on the market as soon as I get my new rims mounted.

Ouch, that really stinks. Keep the rims, no use in them just sitting there. Or you could donate them to a fellow Scion owner Along with your upper grille. I believe I've seen your ride around town.
