Bought my xB brand new in February of 2007. Almost traded last year but the dealership wanted to play games so I decided to keep her. I only have about 38,000 miles and the car has never had a single problem. It also consistently averages about 34 mpg with mostly city (well, the rural version of city) driving. Last week I needed new tires so I dug deep and got a set of Michelin Defenders. Highly recommended! They are noticeably softer and quieter than my previous tires, which were POS General Altimax HP's. Today I did the whole claybar/polish/wax treatment in preparation for winter. Snapped a few pics for anyone interested. Looks like the xB and me are in it for the long haul!

Good for you! It would be a shame to let a ride that sweet slip through your fingers. Lookin' great.

Cool, I really like the color and those wheels!! Are those rims from Scion dealership?

Also, looks like you got some nice seat covers. Can you tell me where you got them and if you recommend them?

Yeah, those were one of 2 or 3 optional rims offered at the dealership. The seat covers are from Clazzio and I absolutely love 'em. The fit is so good that everyone thinks they're custom seats. They can't believe it when I tell them that it's just a cover. Here is the website:

I ordered mine through trdsparks.com IIRC. It's been a few years.

And here's a good thread with pics:

Default Vinyl vs. Neo

Cool, thanks for the links!

Do you think the Vinyl seat covers will work out okay when I move to Vegas? Or do you think Neoprene(or something similar) might be better in the desert heat?

That's a good question. I live in the mountains of NC so it doesn't get super hot here in the summer, maybe mid 90s at most. I have noticed that these covers don't get as hot or as cold as the vinyl seats on old cars. Maybe because it's just a thin cover over a cloth seat? Anyway, I'm not sure how they would hold up in that desert sun.

Love the torched penny!

Clazzios are a great investment -- we had a set of all black leather on our shop 06 xB and they looked great the full time we had the car. We are now waiting to get a set for our FR-S in the quilted pattern. Check out this thread for more information on Clazzio seat covers.
