7 year/100,000 mile warranty-$1,100: Worth it?
#21
Was worth it for peace of mind in LA. Job isn't far, but if it changes, you can be looking at 100 mile a day commutes (think 1 oil change a month), and really racking up the miles.
Ext. War. is just long enough to cover a few years at a new job in case moving isn't an option, and the premium opt. covers everything, too.

Irvine Scion dropped it down below $750 was it? (have to look), but it was darn cheap for the price per year of ownership, so I jumped at it right away.
They have the leeway to price it up or down, so you can bargain this one as well. I just got the low bid right away, so no bidding before buying.
A few weeks later, Toyota sends a full agreement (cancelable) for the warranty, and I'm good to go.
---
Total, it'll bump a $13.5k xA auto to about $15k with gap insurance as well, so worth it if you keep cars for >5 yrs.
That or buy two $8k Kias on sale =P
