Default ac condensation leaking in car?

car 2004 scion xb
first I did search and got similiar questions but more about refregerents and heater cores, this is not it.

So whats happening is in the passengers side front underneath the dash the drain tube fell off so, I thought ok thats why it's leaking-wrong. I hooked it back up and sure enough it still leaking condensation but this time the hose is still connected, however a bigger "circle type vent" is now leaking next to the drain. It has no tube attached and never appeared to have been used for draining condensation as the exhit hole(the one used for the condensation tube through the floor pan) is not big enough for a tube that size to fit. Whats causing this? could my drain hose be clogged causing this "vent" next to it to leak?
any help ??
thanks alot.

Adam

Huh, that's weird. I had this very problem - flooded passenger footwell. But cramming the tube back in worked just fine for me.

This is going to sound stupid, but are you sure you put it back in the right place? I'll try to post pictures of where it goes. Can you photograph the thing that's leaking now?

yea man positive, all there is, is one small pipe which the drain hose connects too, and the other is what appears to be a vent which is now leaking onto my floor and the normal drain pipe isnt leaking at all any more, I have no clue.

The TSB for the condenser tube is, that there is a clip to be installed to prevent the tube from falling off and getting your floorboards wet. If your vehicle is under warranty take it in to a dealer and have it installed.
