bB Squad has arrived!
Hi all, I just finished making the bB Squad site and I wanted to share it with you guys. It has a lot more work to be done, but... check out what I've finished so far:
http://www.jmbat.com/bbsquad
First off, I just want to say I'm glad I found this website. It's one of the best forums I've seen in a long time. to ScionLife!
As for the bB Squad website, I'd appreciate any feedback. You may notice the website looks a little bit grainy, that is to reduce load times. I built the site in ImageReady, it's not the greatest, but its not too shabby. Well, I dont think its too shabby.
Thanks for looking!

ready for some constructive criticism?
I'm a professional developer, and here are my insights:
first off, you should make as much use of HTML text as possible. creating each page as an image has three problems 1)maintainence 2)load time 3)spiderability
the search engine spiders will not read your images, and you will not rank very well as a result.
at 788x900, the page design is too wide for 800x600, although a great deal of users are 1024x760 and better these days. Max page dimensions for 800x600 are 760x450 - you need to account for scrollbars, chrome, and browser toolbars. a good 1024 design is 980x600.
as far as usability, you should chose a larger font.
I like the layout concept. I like the way you have styled the phpBB

when you DO go to using HTML for the site, the rounded corners bounding the text areas will be very difficult to do in dreamweaver, unless you've done it from scratch before.
I could show you a trick or two for getting the rounded edges on the borders if you're interested.
