I don't see how any of those problems can be attributed to using Seafoam. It's just a cleaner and not strong enough to dissolve the pump filter media unless it already had a problem.
The only issue I've heard of is using Seafoam in the oil and possibly spinning a bearing cause it thinned the oil out too much.

Not saying it will for sure , but just a warning. And using it in your oil , well I won't trust it. If you clean all the carbon and built up stuff in your engine ( depending upon age, miles and the care you have taken) you might be surprised at lower compression , scored bearings, cam shaft lobes and the like.
for cleaning sludge out they used to add 1 qt of #2 diesel to the crank case and idle it for a few minutes drain and refill, that cleaned it out pretty good. Would you do that now?

I just put in some wal mart concentrated fi cleaner into a half tank, ran it out and put in a fresh rank of 87, its running better than ever. With Toyotas, once a year and your good to go, doesnt matter what brand for the most part, its all the same stuff.

Why would I put seafoam in a motor thats got only 33K on it. I only needed cheap stuff, and it worked. Maybe in 100K miles, I will. Toyotas need simple FI cleaner, once a year. I was just stating fact, what worked for me.

If you believe the advertising, Shell V-Power has "five times the amount of cleaning agents required by federal government standards". So for $0.30/gallon more than regular gas a couple tanks would clean the system for $6 instead of bothering with additives.

Anyone that wants to knock it really needs to try it first. Otherwise just be quiet cause it's a well proven product!
