Default bluehairs

I'm 50 and a member of AARP and when I first got interested in the xB my wife said are you crazy! She thought it was the ugliest thing on wheels(actually she still does), but i love it and as you can see from my profile i've modded it and i'm not done by a long shot. I see many young people who haven't done anything to their box. I don't really care, but i'm happy I bought mine and it has caused me to meet alot of great people because of it.

Fine, I'll be the first and you can either make me look like a comlete idiot for asking a question or you can simply answer the question. WHAT THE F@CK ARE BAGS, DUMPS AND "LAKERS"? I disagree with the original author of this post and yes I was born long after you but I have no clue what you are talking about. In our Generation Bags= Air Bags, Dumps= The Reason We Go To The Can(Toilet), And "Lakers" = An NBA(National Basketball Team) Sorry for ignorance~

Don't feel bad I was just reading that post and wondered the same thing. I guess we'll both learn something.

Off topic but I can't find this anywhere. When you quote someone how do you get it to say

my car is A LOT easier to climb into than my mom's tC and my dad's Traiblazer EXT for my great grandma who can't get in and out of a car very quickly. I think its cool that older people like a car like ours. I happen to know someone who's over 50 and drives on and his xB is pretty nice! So no, I don't agree with you. I thought the same thing like 2yrs ago but got over it.

I run into other owners sometimes and want to talk xB but if they are young I get the snub..thats ok..I was the same way..but once in a while the age thing doesn't matter and we bond a bit.

I have the upmost respect for anyone who buys the car because he or she recognizes how unique and cool it is, regardless of age. I think you have a great point Mike, I misplaced my frustration with Bluehairs when the real frustration is people who only buy them for the fuel economy vs. people who recognize if for a one-of-a-kind body style and hip, cool styling.

We should examine our motives, as some are better than others.

What about the people that buy it because of the fuel economy and secondly because of style?

Before I bought this car, I was not even remotely into cars; couldn't care less. I bought it for it's fuel economy and because I liked the style. I never expected to get so into it, but I did. I'm crapping my pants waiting for a chance to wash my xB today and get my mod's installed.

Some people just require a little time.

Heh. You guys thought you were buying something hip, when it really appeals to the LeSabre crowd...

Just kidding...

The xB is kinda like a country music crossover hit, having a broader appeal than originally anticipated...

And it's a great car for seniors, just because of the egress...

That was not intended to be a negative comment. I was just stating that not all old folks care about modding. I must apologize, however, for my wording. Not all older folks are alike and some do like modding. I don't consider all of you "older".
