Beautiful (of course I am biased about TCM '06 Scions.

Don't let them drill that beautiful front bumper for your plate - they butchered mine.

By the way - what is I.C.E? (sorry for the newbie question)

Also - you might want to check if the dealer set your radio to the correct mode. You can do this by pressing and holding the SSP button for a few seconds until the Scion model displays. You can then use the volume **** to change models if necessary. I checked mine and the dealer had set it correctly. I tried the "XA" and "TC" modes and much preferred the way the "XB" mode sounded (surprise!). Whenever the battery is disconnected or drained, the radio will forget its mode and default to the "XA" mode - something to keep in mind.

Don't let them drill that beautiful front bumper for your plate - they butchered mine. I just placed an order with www.bumperplugs.com to fill the holes they created. The paint code for TCM is 1D2 and it cost me $33 shipped for two plugs. I plan to mount my plate using a no-drill bracket down lower on the bumper. (after I repair the damage )
It's illegal to drive around with no front plates in California

I used to drive my old Camaro before without the front license plates and I used to get ticketed all the time

I'd rather just put the front plate there and forget about it. I like to drive without worrying whether or not cops would pull me over

I remember your post about that

I read the instruction manual for the stereo, and it did NOT say anything about the different modes

I'll check it out when I get my car tomorrow

Look at the inside of the back cover of the Scion Audio System Owner's Manual (page 31). At least they put an '06 radio in yours - I had to take my car back to get the right stereo - that is why I don't trust dealers to correctly install the radio. They surprised me and actually did it right the second time.

Go here: http://www.scion.com/showroom/xb/gallery/index.html

Click on accesories> then Wheels> then click the 3-new wheel covers. IMO, these new style covers forces you to buy rims. I don't know how to take pics off a Flash site. The 7-Spoke/Phone Dial/bB cover is gone.

The new 8-spoke wheel covers look pretty nice. They will work until I get some nice rims.

Ah, stick shift is the only way to go! It means you are driving and not just steering your car!

I do love that radio, though. I saw another '06 one, and it has color changing, with the ***** on both left and right sides...

I will get one, if that is true, and put it in my Box. I like *****. ***** feel good in my hands.

Ah, a post about sticks and *****....if I was not a preacher, the jokes I could make.

I HATE the 10 Spoke wheel covers!! The cupholder lights are back but they are now the same color as the under dash!! YAY!! But I don't really care for the new wheel covers!! Although the 8 spoke are tight.
