Hi guys, I recently bought a brake master cylinder to install in my '05 Xb. It came with a brake booster gauge. Basically it tells you if you need to adjust the Rod in the booster before you can install the master cylinder. Mine ofcourse needed to be adjusted but no matter how many turns on the booster Rod I made it wasn't adjusting. I went to my local toyota and they tell me I need to bring car in because to adjust the brake booster Rod you need a special tool. They don't sell it and he told me if I could find it it would be like 500 bucks. He showed me the install diagrams and if I had the tool I thinkid be able to do it myself. Can someone shed some light here? Are they trying to screw me or is bringing it to them my only option?
