Maybe we should wake up what's-his-name and see if he can sort of 'combine' the two, eh?

Tomas, you mean the Tech guy is still sleeping? When does he ever work???

Nice job! I used a 1" thick 3M Filtrete filter. It does a great job, but it was a PITA to cut.
I like what you used better. Did the back plastic grid come with that filter?

Just how expensive are the real cabin air filters for scions. I used to work at valvoline and thier cabin filters started at around 50 bucks. Is that all these cost or are they alot more. Cabin air filters are specially designed to filter microscopic allergens and pollutants similar to the way that a hepa filter does. No offense to the people who spent a lot of time taking pictures and doing a writeup, but I don't think that these filters are really doing anything. Just spend the money to buy a real cabin air filter and it will probably last 3-4 years before needing to be replaced.

Actually, you're wrong. The OEM cabin filters are around $20 each, and they will NOT last 3-4 years. It is not washable or reusable, and it will need to be replaced in about 3-6 months depending on environment. The 3M Filtrete filter which I bought, filters out allergens and pollutants also. It was $10 and I will get 6 filters out of it.
