can an xb tow a jet ski?

on here somewhere is thread about using a trailer, so it can be done, but remember the xB is not a pick up nor it is built with the intention of towing anything. You should be okay towing ONE jet ski, two is probably gonna strain your entire drivetrain, not to mention most jet ski trailers are kinda short, so you will probably take in water around the back hatch when you back down to unload them into the water, and then leaving the dock pulling weight up a steep boat ramp that will definitely be wet will prove challenging and could get you into a situation you will be forced to have some other vehicle get your trailer to level ground. I am not speaking from experience here but just trying to think it through with you, and who knows maybe you won't have any problems. I personnally would not try and find out.

with a huge turbo and a 75 shot lol. just kidding, your xb should be able to tow a jetski with ease. you figure you can put a bunch of fat people in it and it rolls, so you should be fine lol

There are trailers that have tongue-extenders (tube-within-a-tube). Remove the pin and the tongue extends an extra 3 to 4 feet. If that doesn't keep your tail out of the water, try a catapault!

I would say it should be o.k, and since the xb doesn't have trailer brakes, be sure to anticipate your stops. Here is a website that sells a hitch for the xb: http://search.cartserver.com/search/...l0051&GO=GO%21
Hope that helps

towing
No problem towing - I have this hitch:

Works great. You want to stay under 1100 lbs INCLUDING the trailer. I have a 5x8 steel trailer and tow around 7-800 lbs easily. You may find the hitch scrapes once in a while on low curbs - but does not hurt anything.
Use common sense. The only thing you may have a problem is backing in low enough down the ramp to get the jet ski in the water without puttung the rear of the box in the water.
I wired my 4 plug adapter into my rear lights and store the harness in the rear cubby (removal panel that gives access to the back lights) on the drivers side. I ran a wire over to the passenger side rear light under the carpet to connect this light to the harness.
When I connect my trailer I run the harness our the back hatch and close the hatch w/no problem.
Good luck.

I always thought it was funny that the owners manual has a section on towing, which starts out in big letters "do not tow--your car is not made to tow" etc. (or words to that effect), and then goes on to show how to properly tow a trailer (balance the load, etc.).
