Does anyone know how to change the text on the stereo deck? I've been told u can change it. Is it possible to change the color of the LED lights, instead of having that orange color? I'm sure theres a post out there...I just cant find it. If anyone knows on how to do these things, please let me know! Thanks!

It's in the owners manual how to change the text...kind of aggravating to do though..lol...the background color can be changed if you have the upgraded stereo.

1. With the head unit on, turn the key from the ACC position to the off position.

2. Press and holt MUTE button, and turn the key to ACC. a horizontal line in
the LCD display will start flashing.

3. Within 15 seconds use any of the sequences below to customize your head
unit's display. Repeat the sequence to return to the original screen.

"what moves you"

Press and hold MUTE and 6 simultaneousely while turning ACC off.

"self exprescion"

Press and hold MUTE and 5 simultaneousely while turning ACC off.

"scion in Japanese"

from cd track number 2, press and hold MUTE and 3 simultaneousely
and turn ACC off.

"whats your scion"

Press and hold MUTE and 4, simultaneousely and turn ACC off.

Go to your owners manual for custom setting.

I hate to thread jack.

I bought my scion previously wrecked, and didnt include the owners manual. I looked through the Online Manual but didnt see nothing. So can any help with how to set it to show something custom?

ill get back to u on that, gotta get my manual but there are different combos for different years. some dont work for other years... so careful there!
