I got mine at baxter auto-luck of the draw I guess-call or check around.
Mine only took about an hour if I remember right-maybe a little more-but I had to wait for it to cool too.
When doing the bolts to the head break them ALL of them loose first, then start taking the nuts/bolts all the way out. Keeps a less damaging result.
When doing the flange bolts make sure and take truns doing one side and then the other. This is especially important when you put it back together-makes sure the gasket is centered and the flanges aren't loaded heavily on just one side.

You're right if it is just paint. wont last on an exhaust header.... I have a couple Megan Racing headers for my tC.... running the older one right now while I get my new one coated. There's a great company out of Phoenix that does great high temp coating at good prices... Jet-Hot. If the part you have coated is new when you ship it to them.... they guarentee their work for as long as you own your car.
Paint won't last. It will burn right off. The black coating prolly isn't just paint.

oh and just FYI.... Jet-Hot has been in this business for a long, long time. They handle a lot of business from NASCAR and the US military....they have huge contracts with the US military for coating their exhaust systems on jets, choppers, etc.

Do you guys ever check on ROCKAUTO?
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/rafr...431767k1021097
2004 SCION XB 1.5L 1497cc L4 FI [1NZFE] : Exhaust : Exhaust Manifold Gasket
FEL-PRO Part # MS96527

I just picked it up but I am not sure what the donut is described as:
Is this the FEL-PRO version of the donut?
FEL-PRO Part # 61124
Dual Overhead Camshaft Engine; Ring $7.67
Really really cheap

The thread still applies to installing all headers.
I have a STRUP and it does not come with gaskets.
I can still use these instructions.
You really don't have to bother yourself with this question.
I was just looking to point out some very inexpensive gaskets and questioned the donut gasket. I am not sure if it is correct.

Oh , OK now it makes sense. Good find on the cheap gaskets for those that need em. The original donut gasket transfered over for me and should last a long time.

I was wondering Jeff, did you happen to check out he ring donut FEL-PRO offers?
FEL-PRO Part # 61124 is what I was looking at.
It seems different in appearance but the price is great.
What is your opinion after looking at the pic on the site?
The other gasket is perfect, but the ring is sorta different in appearance.
I would be curious to see what you or anybody thinks.
