If this Donut I am trying to get info on is the correct one then I just feel it is worth replacing. I am having done at a shop, too. So, I just want to walk in and give the guy the parts and have him complete it.

That replacement donut gasket kinda looks thinner than the OEM one did. If you are replacing it I'd go with a new one from the dealer just to make sure it seals properly.

OK Jeff, check out this thread.
What I believe I have is a hard donut gasket.
2 pics of it- way down about the 14th and 16th pic.

I found another cheap source for the bolts.
I am gonna pick them up, too.

so, as part of my rant on another thread, someone pointed out that the ebay can shred metal into the engine, like old megan headers did. some quick searches got me nothing.
I haven't heard this before.... has anyone else?
his plan worked, he made me second guess my header......

Wrong, exhaust gases go out so it might push metal into the cat or something but not into the motor. If you file it to remove burs or something from the flange as long as it's blown out first there should be no problems like that.

So there is a small chance to suck metal shavings back into the engine.

I got my Megan Racing header installed yesterday. It took much longer than it should have. I had to remove the strut bar, the DC one is pretty heavy duty, lol.
PB Blaster is VERY useful. A bolt breaker and another person are also useful!
I had to buy new bolts, nuts and washers for the bottom of the header for an extra $7 at PepBoys. They are much better bolts and I reused the springs.
The fitment is great and it looks 10x better than the stock header.
The engine sounds much happier, it sounds pretty sweet in combination with the
K&n Typhoon CAI and Precision muffler.
