I really appreciated this thread....THANKS GREYBOX! for your research on the springbolts.

I finally after 2 years got my STRUP header installed and this thread gave me the info on the HELP! spring bolts. They work perfect.

Jeff Hudler HOMEGROWN PERFORMANCE did it for me and he acknowledged that the spring bolts were great to work with. He did the whole job in about 90 minutes.

That's quick!
All my bolts were stuck. I broke one that was used for the heat shield when I cranked it off haha.

I didn't get new spring bolts, I just got new bolts and reused the springs!

Any squeking with the new bolt and old spring?

You can ditch the heat shield with the new header so it didn't matter when I broke it.

We tightened the bolts with the springs pretty tight so it should be good.

Everything sounds great!

Not mine. I found just the right kind of silencer that makes it as quiet as the TRD.

got a dyno sheet? I like to see real number vs. the butt dyno. I'm sure there is a little jump but I still like hard facts

Do they have a silencer for the Precision?

Don't think so... it's that double-walled tip. You could probably get something custom made.

Is the Precision a straight thru design? You'd have to measure the inside of the tip and get the baffle to fit.

Thanks for the props up there^^^OakToddler

I was going to wrap mine if they kept flaking but they only did in a few small places and then stopped.

Wrapping them on the car is a mess from what I understand and on the XB there is plenty of room for airflow back there so I wouldn't do it now just because of the amount of work.

i took it off and wrapped it, and gave it a good coat of the recommended spray to seal the wrap. smoked like a MOTHER when it went back on. Havent run it a ton yet to tell the heat difference, but im pretty sure i felt a different after a bit of idling. The header was very easy t get off as I had the entire cowl and hood off for my wire tuck.

I did this install today as well. Cleaned up the welds a bit. Man, is it ever worth the money.
