Yeah, the lights and the roof scoop could be done better and removed, respectively...

Scion completely missed the mark with their xB "artists" this year. I was at SEMA and saw all three cars up close. I took hundreds of pictures while I was there, and didn't take a single one at the Scion booth.

The lifted "graffiti" xB was crap. Completely impractical. It is a total "show piece". (If you want to call it that.) That little 1.5 is suited for nothing more than moving the vehicle around the show, or off and on a trailer. Get that thing on the road and I guarantee it is nothing but a rolling death trap.

The chopped "rat rod" xB as someone called it was only slightly better. Sure, the work looks decent from a distance, and in photos. But if you know anything about custom cars, you would know it wasn't so great in person. Some of the styling cues were decent, but the execution sucked. Probably one of the few vehicles at SEMA with cracked out body work. Another thumbs down from me.

The third xB, had to be the shining star of the bunch. And what a sad state of affairs that is. It was probably one of the best executed, but there was nothing about it that evokes excitement. A boring xB, done in a style that does not at all suit the xB. At least it was well executed compared to the other two. Even if it had absolutely no sense of "flow" or style.

At least the tC and xA models on display were decent this year. Scion would have been better off bringing in the same xBs they had last year.

They'd be better off bringing in xB's (and Scions in general) that real Scion owners put together while going to school and dealing with work and a family. Isn't that what Scion is about? Have an internet contest, or a few judged shows around America, and invite the winners to display their rides. I guarantee they'll look better than schmucky the 'aspring artist' and his vomit dog box. They'd represent more true at any rate.

^^^which is why I want to have a nationwide VIP box meet. the tuner scene for xB's is boring. I respect how Scion wants to make them art cars, but it's getting out of hand. I thought the rat rod xB is a neat idea. I mean, when is a rat rod perfect anyway? they're not supposed to be perfect. they have to look worn and half broken. So cracked body work wouldn't bother me as it's a "rat rod". But it's time to step up the game and Scion is still worried about the underground ghetto world art cars. I tired of seeing them in the catalogs. the Topline one was refreshing cuz it was a little different. the interior could have better executed tho. I mena a luxury style xB with a racing car interior doesn't flow.
