Default Custom Scion xB conversion concept

Hello everyone. I have fallen in love with the Scion and hopefully will be in the market to purchase one soon, hopefully to be the first one in Iowa to own an xB!

Anyway, I was thinking it looks remarkably similar to a Hummer H2. I bet you guys can tell what is coming..

I'd like to modify an xB to look like a bite-sized Hummer H2!

How do you think it would look if I had a scaled down, fabricated H2 grill and tow bar lights on the roof that at the press of a button, could recess back into the roof?

I'd appreciate your opinions, thank you!

Oh, and by the way, this is merely a concept. Please don't think of me as a redneck, I'm just curious to see how it would look when it is all said and done.

Remember that you asked for opinions, so dont get upset with some of the answers you get...

I dont like the idea...now fabricating your own 4x4 type design is cool because it would be original...

IMO, H2s are prolly the 3rd ugliest cars on the road, behind Aztecs & PT Cruisers. But if you wanna, go ahead, I did see a Camaro body on a 4x4 Blazer frame, so whateverman.

I gotta agree, don't do it! Build on its own uniqueness. Oh by the way there are already a couple in Iowa so you won't be the first. Sorry I was hoping to be one of the first too, but there's at least one around town here and CR Toyota has 2 "used" for sale, at really jacked up prices.

Browsing the Scion store, I really like the look of the C-One Front Grille and the KG Works projector lights, I think they'd go well together

Ah no bother then if I'm not the first, they're still pretty uncommon around the IC/CR area

I am near the IC/CR area

Browsing the colors on the xB website, I am really torn between the pearl white and the shiny jet black

I like the Black alot too, but our Matrix is black so my wife didn't want two black cars. Iowa City Toyota has a Black xB and a black xA. They had them in back two weeks ago, Cr Toyota has a Black xB and a Blue onyx pearle. Check out either dealership if you get the chance, my wife and I cruise through the Cedar Rapids lot at least once a week. I'm sooo impatient.

I could always go with a custom paint job as a third option, hehe. A soft pearlized off-white buttermilk. Or whatever comes to mind.

Anyway, sounds like the xB will be pretty popular in the IC/CR area.

Edit- The white will be easier to keep clean as well.

Is the xB more like the H2:

Or the Mercedes G-Wagon:

My vote is for the Gelandewagen! Its proportions are much closer to the xB.

I already get enough hummer comments - no need for more.
