Now correct me if i am wrong but doesnt the Scions ship with the second gen airbags which are suppost to be inteligent? What i mean by that is inteligent airbags know if the engine is running and if someone is sitting in the seat and how fast you are going.

Maybe the kids on your street are hitting older cars with first gen that just require a force greater than 10mph. (What first gen bags are rated for) or the car does not have safing senors.

As far as I know, the steering wheel is separate from the steering wheel "hub" (the center..with the airbag). I'm sure you can take it apart easily...

I didn't say it looked safe, just cool...

You could always fill in the second O so if you did crash it, you'd have a nice "MoM" embedded in yo' chest...

I cant believe its not butter ... and i cant believe there is still interest in doing this. LOL

I have removed the steering wheels off of mine and the GFs xB to have the trim painted to match. If you look at it closely ( 1 ) the Scion emblem is embedded; or set into, the grey plastic of the steering wheel. (2) im sure that with the plastic trim being riveted onto the air bag assembly that the logo is too. Thats why i had to remove the air bag assembly to have the trim painted.

--- whold a thunk that this would be revived from 3 years ago?

WOW; last time I checked, Scionlife is to provide information and help to those in need of it while educating the community about Scion. These people here are telling this guy to either be original or don't ask for help. If no one asked for help, this site wouldn't really be helpful other than looking at pictures now would it?

Wow, looks like most people have something stuck up their bum in this thread...

He was asking for help; not if it was original or not. Deal is, the majority of mods people do... AREN'T ORIGINAL! That's kind of the WHOLE purpose of the website is to showoff your mods and show other people about them. Jeeze...
