Default DOA updates

so here are some updtaes of stuff that I have been doing and undoing to DOA recently.
ok here is what has been done/undone ha ha

ridding on steelies for a while, tires got bald so I picked up Big Hungy's old 002s, painted the lips flat black and changed out the "rivets" to spikes.

did not like the way it sat in the back, so I added -8 camber to it, and I liked the way it sat again.

But then I got some new tires for my Rotas, and did not like all the extra tire wear on the sidewalls of the tires, lol.
so the camber came off, and the Rotas go back on. and that brings us to today.

How much daylight you got under YOUR xB? ha ha

laid out rear lip,

and for the few of you that have asked how high is full up,

I finally moved my speakers down in the dash so I could put on my EZ speaker grills, I painted them gloss silver with a clear coat,

Then I was thinking, I needed something else with the grill, so I did this....

SO that got me to thinking, my speaker grills match the front grill, so I had to change it up, and did this...

Also I am working on putting "headrest" back in as well.
This is what is behind the big bulky in the way cushions. I am still working on cleaning up the rear ones. I may cut them down some so the will go down further in the seats. Not sure yet going to wait till I get them all in.
OH, and thanx to Sakura for the info on it.

yeah its crap.
Its the reverse open hinge I have on there, I never got it to line up right. I am fixing to take it off, and go back to stock for now. May do another side open hood but going the other way then what gothbox opens.

The fitment is better than what it was with the massive overbite it had at one point. Doing the opposite of gothbox on doa might be cool to have at a show though.

I almost like DOA more than mine. Love the flat black and the slammed look. Can't wait to see it in person. Do you have mirrored overlays on the headlights?

thanx man.
I don't know why my headlights look like that, they have done that ever since I baked them apart and black out the insides. I don't know what happened, but I kinda like it, ha ha.

thanx Jeff, I still have a LONG list of stuff that needs to be done, or that I want to do. I am working on getting a whole new rear end built to help center the wheel and get lower.
Still need to get the back doors finished, etc etc.

Adding some length to the axle assembly will def. help center those wheels.

yeah we are thinking about an inch or inch and a half to it, an maybe try and bring it in some as well, as much as we can and not have probs with the wheel hitting the shock.
also doing a drop axle so it can go lower with out having to do a 4-link and remove the gas tank. Thats the plan/goal anyways. is just basically make what is already there but just make it better and stuff. ANd that way still being able to use all stock mounting points as well. Will pretty much be a bolt on part.

Yes, def. retain the stock mounting points just for simplicity.

ok, some more updates, been modding and de modding so to say.

first, I cut down the headrest bars, and got them to sit closer to the seat.
I like it a lot better. I am debating on cutting up the center one in the back to make it look like the rest or leave it like it is since it sits low already.

Next,
I took off the reverse open hood hinges, I did not really think that one threw, cause it covers up my EZ Baked grill when open. Whats the point and having a custom grill if you can't see it right?
so back on went the hood struts, that and it was hard to work on the car with the hinges on.

NEXT,
here is the DEmodding, ha ha
I freaking HATE road kill. Last night I was on my way home and did not see a already dead opossum in the road, hit it hard. Popped my rear lip off some, and splattered blood and stuff all over the back of the car and left some fur under there as well.

But lucky I just picked up a new rear bumper from enuf2spare35 and I will have that Sat. so all is not lost.

And here is a banner that was made for me as well,
yes it has some creases in it from shipping, but they will work out.

AND, just some random under the car shots as well,:D

That is all till I get the new bumper painted and put on.
I now return you to your regular scheduled program already in progress.
