Default Dome light bulbs

I have found a great site for anyone that wants to change the color of the dome light in their Xb. http://www.autolumination.com/festoon.htm I hope this helps anyone who was looking for something. I ordered a blacklight dome light and it works great.

the bulb # is: 3175
the length is: 1 1/4" (31 mm)

Is it bright? Did you order the LED ones? I ordered the white and blue LEDs and the Xenon white ones. The LEDs weren't that bright at all and the Xenon wasn't white at all and wasn't as bright either. Great place to order from though! I've ordered lots from them.

True! They're not bad either. I'm going to order the turn signal LED bulbs from them. Cause they carry the ones with the built-in current limiting resistors since LEDs use so little power.

BTW does anyone know if the "Instrument Cluster and Gauge Backlights" shown on this page towards the bottom will work in the xB's AC controls?
http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm
They kinda look like they will.

They will, I have them and they're cool looking....however, the holders they are in aren't the same as the Xb's and they will have to be removed, cut a bit to fit, and generally worked on a bit. May be a better idea to get them without the holders, and with longer leads.

I tried the longer leads too hard to solder em in , best bet is stick with the bulb holders from that site

The LEDs that I got from Autolumination, do not seem to shut off properly. They are still lit when off, but barely.

you have to cut up the little bulb holders but it is the best way to change the lighting for that area.

I got mine from superbrightleds and mine stay slightly illuminated too when the car is off...if I have the dome set on "Door", so i just turn it "Off" at night (since I don't know if that drain is enough to kill the battery).

I like them though, the 4 leds offer a nice bright light and the blue looks niiiiice.

Default LED Dome Light

I'm ordering a 1 Watt Luxeon Star Dome Module from TaskLED to replace the dome light in my new RS-4.0 xB. It uses about 90% less power , provides the same brightness, and gives off a pure white light unlike the incandescent yellow light in the factory bulb. If I like it I'm going to get one for my wife's RS-3.0 xB. They're expensive but should outlast the vehicle. I like the color and the fact that if I happen to leave it on it won't drain my battery. I don't see any other posts of anyone else doing this. If I'm the first I'll let you know how it goes.
What's the consensus on replacement headlights? I see in other posts some suggest the Silverstar Ultra, Luminics Hyper White, or PIAA Super Brights. What's everyones opinions of these? Which is best?

I'm trying to decide between the 36 LED dome light from autolumination.com or the dome light from leddomelight.com.

The one from leddomelight is $35 and the one from autolumination is $14.99.

Does anyone know how the two compare? Is one significantly brighter than the other?

Anyone have one of these or something similar?

I don't have the time or patience to make anything, really.

The two posted use two different types of LEDs. The 36 bulb one from autolumination uses the "standard" type bulb while the one from leddomelight uses a wicked looking square led light.

I've read that this "square light" is superior to the standard LED, but is this true? Is it brighter? Project better? What makes it better?

I bought one from leddomelight.com. Great purchase. Took me about 3 minutes to put it in. Awsome over all lighting improvement. I'd recomend it.

Do the ones from leddomelight.com fade out like the OEM bulbs do when you lock the doors?
