Default FAB spoiler???

I just received and installed my Fab CF spoiler from robear racing or the bBist spoiler, (same thing) I was wondering how these hold up as far as mounting because it just seems very fragile and im scared i dont want it to fall off. I mounted it with the two clips and silconed the screw on so they can tback out from vibration then i used double sided foam tape to hold the top to the body. What are your guys thoughts?

thanks

Steve put mine on, sounds about like the process you described. It seems really secure to me, as far as driving, etc. I doubt it would hold up to someone hanging on it and such, but as far as wind force hitting it, I don't think it's going anywhere...

My original Fabulous spoiler was held on the same way and held it to 160 mile commutes/5 days a week, and more than one SoCal road trip. I've had the bBist.com black and silver cf Fab style spoiler on since November and its mounted the same way. It holds on fine and has survived a few trips above 100 mph.

As long as there is double stick tape along the leading edge, sides, and the clips are on, it'll be fine.

The only other person to have a Fabulous/Fab style spoiler on longer than me, that I know of, is Matt (opr8r).

Call me an idiot, but those clips will NOT fit into the slots on my wing. The slots are partially blocked by the wing's material. The longer ends go inside of the spoiler,no?

I don't want to trust this thing to just double sided tape

You might need to trim very little in the holes, but the long ends go there .Me and Brad had to use a little hammer action to put the clips in but so did everyone else and they fit tight, you don't want them loose.Did you use foam tape or 3M tape the 3M is way stronger.

Some minor adjustments may be required:

I'm still considering getting one in Dark Blue CF/Kevlar.
I just don't want to look like every other box out there.
