Two xBs in one driveway? That's right. Hector and Mark Romero of Glendora, CA, took a little jaunt over to the L.A. auto show and both found love in the Scion booth. They both immediately placed orders for their cars, one in white and one in black.
When it came time to pick up the cars they told the dealers to pile on every option they had. This included upgraded stereos with XM radio, subwoofers, cargo covers, AEM cold-air intakes, cup holder illumination, door enhancements, fog lights, Hotchkis front strut tie bars, rear bumper and pillar appliquι, OBX shift ***** and pedal covers and factory rear spoilers.
Strangely enough, both brothers are running the same wheels, but Mark's are Toyota-derived and have the TRD markings on them while Hector opted for the Racing Hart versions of the same wheel.
Hector immediately decided that the stock stereo system wasn't going to cut it, so the car went to 'Got Car Sound' in Ontario for some custom work. A Directed 5-channel amp was custom-mounted into the spare tire well and a bigger sub was installed in the back. Mark has now seen the light and is going to upgrade his system as well.
When asked what the future mods were likely to be, Hector grins and blurts out the word "turbo". He knows that his car looks good, but he wants to be able to back it up at the green light when he needs to. He also plans on adding a sunroof and HIDs for better illumination.
So the next time you see these night and day xBs rolling in a pair give them a toot and a wave. They won't know who you are but it makes them feel special.
