Green with envy. That’s how I feel when I see Ryan Abando’s (aka Green Bean) camouflage xB. With so many trophies racked up from Import Showoff, Extreme Autofest, D1 Car Show, Importfest to name a few venues, Ryan has won many shows in the past few months. If you are a Southern California local, you probably have seen the “Green Box” at the local Scion Owners Meet and Greet at Cerritos, CA.
Ryan has now evolved and is part of the new nationwide Scion Owner’s Club – Scion Evolution. With that, the “Green Box” has now evolved as the “Mini Hulk”. His box has undergone a very rapid change, much like David Banner in the Hulk. These changes include an updated sound system, thanks to his audio/video sponsor –X-File Audio. With countless monitors, speakers and amplifiers, this is truly a boom “box” wheels.
He also has had a few sets of rollers from BSA Wheels – another of his proud sponsors lowered as well with TRD-Waydo springs. The upholstery was wrapped in green and black leather done by E & J Upholstery in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Electronics include an Apex Integration SAFCII to fine tune his engine. With engine management taken care of, Ryan can safely run his NOS system. The 50 shot NOS really makes this box fly. Under the hood, you will also find an Injen Cold Air Intake, Injen engine cover color matched to the factory paint and a TRD Upper Strut Bar.
On the outside trimming, the “Mini Hulk” is embellished with Nish Designs carbon fiber splitters and canards. To finish it off, a carbon fiber hood, OEM spoiler, JDM Toyota Sports Lid gas door and Scion upgrade TYC tail lights completes the green exterior. I guess it helps that Ryan can get employee discounts from Cabe Performance (Cabe Toyota) where he works as a Toyota Certified Technician.
Ryan can be found hanging out among other Scion members along with his son Roice at local Southern California hangouts. He enjoys having “boba” and Filipino food at the local Cerritos hang out with Nacy aka “the Goat Master”, Nilo aka “the Don” and San Fernando Valley’s very own, Big Russian.
