Finally... Proper bB/Xb plastic model
So far, all the models of Toyota bB/Scion Xb has been based on the Japanese bB made up to year 2003. Xbs and the new bBs in Japan now has the new bumper shape (front and back).
I've waited until one of the companies to make the proper model And it's finally out.
You can get it from places like Hobby Link Japan
http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ03610
I'm surprised Fujimi beat Tamiya on this one...
Anyways, only down side is that it doesn't have the Scion Xb emblem... It only has the bB... Oh, and the driver's side probably is on the right side.
But, this will be more true to the likeness of North American Scion Xbs.
If enough people are interested, I can ask Hoby Link for a group buy... whaddaya say?

Look at my post again. Tamiya doesn't have the bB model that has the exact same body style as the US Xb. the above Fujimi's model is called version 1.5ZX...
If I am wrong, please enlighten me.

i have the fujimi bB mounted on an extended radioshack xmod (really made by HPI btw). i had to make a new driveshaft and lengthen the chassis among other things but it came out awesome. but yeah i agree the fujimi bB is a really well done kit.

thanks for the compliment on the cars
i want that hpi livery touring impreza SOOOOOO bad :'(
i think they are on hpi japans website, but i know for a fact that they are displayed at hobby shows at hpi's table. . they just chose radioshack as a distributor. also theres a sticker on the bottom that says "custom manufactured for radioshack corporation" on the bottom. theres NO WAY that radioshack could come up with a fully digitally proportional 1/28 scale car with the option for shaft driven 4wd, limited slip ball bearing differentials, 12 crystal frequencies, 4 wheel independant suspension and a whole crap load more for only $50 haha

Where can I get that engine chassis part from?? That sounds like a cool thing to do. I love that xB custom XMODS. I already have a Z, a Ghetto A$$ Skyline which had the side neon on both sides but now it is only on 1 side because as I was trying to remove the neon battery cover from on top of the wire it snapped apart. F' er. Anyone know how I can fix it? Oh and I have a RSX that doesn't even run. Well it does but rear tires don't and that is because of a another wire coming apart. Did you find a way to put in lights? I know this is a lot BUT WHERE IS THAT SITE???

engine chassis part? if you mean the extended chassis i took a piece of thick plastic (a plastic painters pallette) cut it to shape, drilled it and epoxied it to the existing chassis. then i took a long piece of plastic and fab'ed up a new longer driveshaft and found a way to remount the batteries and whatnot.
if your talking about the xmods light kits if you break a wire from the connector you might as well buy a new one. if its snapped well above it you can just solder it back togther. as for the 'rear wheels' if its a wire just sodler it back together and you should be golden.
the bB is drilled out for headlights, tail lights, side markers, front turn signals, and licence plate lights. a pin vice is more valuable than gold when it comes to modelling! haha. i will be using a spliced xmod command logic light set.
