Default First Convertible xB

Hello Folks,

The coveritble xB will be @ the SE So Cal Meet on Friday Aug 20th @ Cool Station.

It is the first xB full convertible conversion ... for those who want a closer look, come by on Friday to the SE meet in Cerritos/Artesia.

for directions: go here: http://www.scionevolution.com/se_event_list.htm

Honestly, I haven't seen the vehicle myself in person yet. But i'm sure it'll be different and out of this world. Let's welcome our first SE convertible xB.

Am I to understand correct that the first ever Scion Xb convertible has stock wheel covers on it? I guess when you think about how much that conversion cost I probably wouldn't be able to even afford wheels, so I understand. Anyways, that thing is pimp to the limit, I can't wait to get my box and try and find something that still hasn't been done.

haha... the conversion cost the guy so much money that rims were put off. But i'm sure he'll be putting some nice set of rims shortly.

It is something u don't see even at a car show... a convertible xB.

this car came out of the lot straight to the shop...the owner just got it back this week, we will be working with him and I'm sure it will be fully customized in a few weeks and ready for the show circuit. Nice mod and quite different from any other xb out there. Big props to Charles on his convertible xB. I too can't wait to check it out.

How about fixing up his photoshop skills too, the car is nice enough to speak for itself without the "Tiles" filter interrupting the photo.

I'm looking forward to seeing many more pics of it, with the top up and down.

It looks much like the PT Cruiser convertible in that pic, mainly due to the mid roll bar. :? Mucho props for originality and guts though!

Wow, that looks a little too much like a VW Rabbit. Anyone else see the rabbit?

VW Cabriolet all the way! Kinda looks also like a Fiat Cabriolet Convertible I drove for a couple of years in the UK. And of course, PT Cruiser-ish.

Hopefully, he won't be taking it very fast....not enough support in the lower body/frame...body flex would be too much, ripping that thing apart..

Sorry dude....ain't cutting it for me...looks too much like it's trying to be something else...

what's it look like with the top up? leakage problems? i'm not a big fan of the conversion, kinda reminds me of the convert PT BLAH but props on having the most unique box (can we call it that anymore???) i've seen as of yet

Nice work, whoever did it!

yeah I see the VW rabbit...kinda looked like my sister's old car in high school..
looks alittle bit like the VW "Thing" as well...

pretty cool IMO...and actually the whole frame structure has been re-enforced to avoid any bending of the body.

Does look a little different, but heck so do our cars compared to everyone else's, ya gotta give a lil bit of props to someone that thinks outside the box...sort of speak.
