Default Fit vs. Yaris vs. Versa vs. Scion Track Event, May 11

Cut and paste from : https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...258478#3258478

Attention all you Scion drivers:
My name is Alec Cervenka and I am helping organize the first micro-car track event for 2008 and we need YOU! We already have a number of confirmed Fit and Yaris drivers for the day, but it wouldn't be fair unless we had some competition from our Scion rivals, the xA, xB (v1 and v2) xD, and the tC!
The event will be run by Speed Ventures, which is one of the more established companies for track events in California and we have worked out a plan so that every attendee will have a free transponder with their payment of the track fees. This way we can really see who is the fastest Micro Car out on the track! The track fees will be $150 for the day and this will secure the track so that we can have a Micro Car - centric event.

Track: Streets of Willow
Date: May 11, 2008
Price: $150 per person

So far, we have about 10 confirmed Fit and 10 confirmed Yaris drivers coming to the event and we thought it would be nice to see some competition from the Versa crowd.
Let me know what you guys think and we all hope to see you there!

UPDATE 03/17
The event has changed and is now open to all makes and models. However, if you send me your information, you will be run in the micro class with a transponder included.
The event is now being completely run by Speed Ventures, I will post the registration link as soon as it is available.

Too bad it's in Cali instead of somewhere in the middle of the country. Maybe they could put that show on the road and visit other parts of the country?

I'd love to actually, I'm returning to the MidWest in July to finish out my time at Purdue. Maybe then we can find a nice MidWest event, possibly at Mid Ohio or the like.

I see you're from Nashville - has your box gone to the Dragon yet?

Not yet but our Sciko chapter is planning to visit the dragon soon. Too bad this sort of event couldn't be held at Mid Ohio the same time as the VIP event.

Was that a suggestion? haha
When I'm back in the MidWest I'll see if I can bring this sort of thing out there.

ThankYou! I'd be there for sure. I love auto crossing and do it all the time. Beating up on Fits and Versas would be such fun.

I'm all signed up (finally..)

Everyone else get to it and to get the transponder, paste this in the Comments Section (step 8 of 14)

"In same run group as Tom Pham, include transponder."

For those of you who have already registered, send me an email (acervenk@purdue.edu) and let me know. I'll send word to Tom so we get you the transponder.
See you all there!
