Default Flooded and Totalled 06 Xb, 10k miles

Here is the story...this is my brothers Xb, he came over to my house to pick me up one day, we were going to go to Best Buy. It was pouring when he got to the house, so we decided to wait out the rain before leaving again. About 30 min later, I glanced out the window to see my brothers xb up to the door handles in water. There was nothing we could do at that point. The water was too deep to move it, and it was still pouring with cloud to ground lightning everywhere. I had just moved in a month earlier so I had no idea this was flood territory. We did manage to save my Xb, as the road went up a slight hill, so mine didn't even get water inside. I took the following pics after the water went way down, but you can still get the idea. Look at all the junk floating in the water too. The last pic was taken a week later, and you can see how much water was still on the floor at that point. The insurance company totalled it, after the estimate to repair was $35,000. WOW! So if you are in or around southern Iowa, rumor is thats where it was taken for insurance auction.

Funny thing is after I yelled to him that his Scion was gonna be totalled, he ran to the window, looked outside, screamed....then ran into the bathroom and threw up.

i'm guessing it's the side of the front passenger seat... and the water that's sitting under the seat...[/img]

Whoa ..... what a mess.
Great that he gets a brand new xB though.

The truck parked in front of the xB ..... is that water filling up to the top of the truck bed - or is that a dark coloured truck bed cover ??

look like a cover due to the smoothness and reflection of the sky.

Yeah that's my Ranger, its got a soft tonneau cover on it, so thats what you are seeing there...and also that last pic of the Scion is indeed the front passengers seat, just showing how much water was still there after a few days.
