ive been pretty lucky. 136K miles on my 98 and nothing major yet. I half expect the tranny to go though but it hasnt even slipped yet.

i actually chose my explorer over jeeps- i was testdriving every vehicle out there and this one just felt so much more solid and quick. **though it was near impossible to lift compared to jeeps.. but hey; its the end product that matters.

*my bro has a 96 w/ 90Kmiles-- mmm nothing to fix yet on that, but the tranny might be going (he drives like the stereotypical 17 year old though)

99% of Internet Message boards(Dealing with cars, etc etc) Are completely stupid and filled with retards who take everything WAY to seriously. Lord. I've been to very few boards that don't have people who want to pick a fight. Fighting is pointless, so is violence. Hurting somebody because they called you, or your car is a moron. An easy ticket to go to jail. I loved my friend's Explorer..even with it's problems..more so because I think he got a lemon, it was still fairly quiet compared to the Jeep he had before.

its a figure of speech. and like i said.. i dont care what anyone calls my car; because its just a stupid car. And "get hurt" insues "fight back". how many random people come up to you in a parking lot and call you a moron without intent to hurt you? And "fight back" could be verbal.

And you're right there are a lot of people trying just to start fights. Are you one of them? You were the first person to degrade another person. Lets just end this and go on with our lives.

Ehh..I don't think that really matters, as long as you like what you drive. Do the speed limit, don't drive insane..everything is cool.

again, why? there are guys over there that own scoins too. and we dont buy them to pollute the environment. An explorer doesnt pollute any more than a blazer, dodge, or anything else.

newsflash- im majoring in auto mechanical engineering because id like to design powerful but more envrionmental engines..

why do you keep attacking explorer owners? i just dont get it
