Default Got one at last!

Finally I am the proud owner of a blue xB. This car is amazing! I thought it was cool when I test drove one, but after today's innaugural drive from Maryland back to Philadelphia, almost everything about it exceeded my initial impressions - even the color :D This was my first time with it out on the highway, and I really love the way it's geared - downshifting up hills and screaming along at 4,000 rpms is quite fun, and to me the engine sounds very pleasant. And the turning radius is incredible!

The only thing I can't stand is how clunky the car shifts from first to second - YUCK. I know I'm not the first to complain of this...hopefully it will loosen up at least a little over time...

Btw, this forum is not only informative, it's infectious! Only a month ago, I didn't have the slightest interest in cars. Next thing you know, my poor old Civic hatchback is stalling, I'm buying a new Scion, springs are on their way, and I'm looking for new rims! LOL

Thanks

I initially ordered one through Central City Toyota (Philadelphia), but ended up buying from Koons Annapolis after waiting was taking too long. I didn't get farther than Baltimore before someone next to me at a stop light had me roll down the window and tell them what I was driving...hehehe this is going to be fun...

As for springs, I ordered the Tein H-Techs. Lookin' forward to 'em.

I'm actually in Bala Cynwyd (Montgomery County), but since no one outside of the area's heard of it, I always name-drop Philly

i had a similar problem with them, i wanted a camo in 5spd, they tried to push me into a camo auto. they were like well the camo doesn't come in 5spd so next thing you know team toyota of langhorne has one in stock. which still took a week to get here

H Techs are nice springs..
They advertise a ~1" drop, but seem to be settling much lower and the ride is caddy soft, relatively speaking, of course ;-)

I got mine at team, but they did me a favor! i went on friday and ordered and BCP but i went back on sat to see about addnig something to the order. so i get there on sat and Ivan Fremaint (sales dude) asked "if we have one in stock in 5 speed today, would u buy it?" so i drove the 5 sp TCM and decided that i didn't wanna wait a week for a car that i could have now and in the color I wanted...(my girl picked the bcp for me...<shakes head>) but are u rolling in philly or are u up in bucks? i've only seen 2 camo's around here and one has jersey tags...

Nice! Great color choice. Go for the DIY spring install. Save your $$$ for the wheels.
