I would ask Geico and the other insurance company who they use for estimates and get those two estimates for comparison. When I was rear-ended last year, both companies involved used the same excellent body shop.

My insurance company gave me the same choice of working with them or the other company. However, if I chose to use my own company, they told me the claim would go on my record. So I used the other company to avoid that.
