Default H-Tech installation needed for xB - Palm Springs, CA area

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anybody knows someone near the Palm Springs, CA area who could install my new H-Techs...
I know people in the L.A. area who can do it, but someone closer than 2 hours away would be nice.

Thanks in advance!

You can do it with simple tools and a coil spring compressor you can either buy from somewhere like Harbor Freight or rent at most auto parts stores. It really is easy - even a beginner could change all 4 corners in an afternoon, worst case scenario!
There are several tutorials here on SL with great pics. Try it - you'll get a great feeling of accomplishment!

Ya know, I might just do that. My g/f thinks I am crazy, since I am not handy at all - unless it's a computer! But yeah, I have been going through the nice tech articles and it doesn't seem impossible do accomplish.

Would I need a COIL SPRING COMPRESSOR or a STRUT SPRING COMPRESSOR?
One is $12.99 and the other is $39.99 @ Harbor Freight.

do it yourself, it's simple, the back should take about 5 minutes to do, you don't even have to take off the rear tires. and the front was simple too, i didn't even use a spring compressor, i had my uncle compress if for me to get it all back assembled. it took an hour to do my car.

I installed my s techs without a spring compressor. The compressor would be used on the front struts to keep the spring from shooting off the strut when the top hat is taken off.
If you do not use one, just be careful when you remove the front springs. Point the top of the strut away from you or others and anything else you don't want to damage.

I did the install myself, and it was the first time I ever touched a spring. I took my time, and everything came out ok. Here is my install:

They rent the compressors for free from AutoZone. You just leave a deposit and get it back when you return the tools.

Do the springs yourself. It's half the fun of owning Scions. Besides, if you have problems we are only a post away to help ya out! Just be careful and take your time. It will be easier the next time.

Palm Springs Represent!

I live in Palm Springs, but I'm too busy right now to help. If you want to do it yourself, that how-to is awesome. I installed s-techs @10:30pm like a fricking tweaker and that was my first spring install/ mod ever. It's really not that hard. just make sure you have the proper tools.

I have spring compressors if you would like to borrow them. PM me, I'll be happy to help any way I can.
