Having a brain fart about center cubby hole
I opened the center cubby today to get out some CD cases. The door dropped down a little more than 45 degrees. I thought, "Huh? Didn't this door used to open almost flat? Or am I hallucinating?"

Speaking of the door...can anyone tell me how to get it out so I can get to the spring on the hinge?
I'm worried if I force it I'll break to hinge arm, but the spring inside is bouncing off of something and rattling like mad. I want to put some felt down, but need to know how to get at it.
Thanks!

No screws on box.
I just had my center console apart this week to paint it. I don't think there were screws on the compartment with the flip-down door. But you don't have to take it out to fix the springs, at any rate.
