Default Hot Lavas should have come like this...

Remember when we were all googling at the HOT LAVA ad on SCION's website??
Remember it saying that it had a two-color interior?? Well many of us agree that we were a little dissapointed that we just got orange "dots" Don't get me wrong.. they do work well with the scheme, but why try to play it safe with a vehicle that's so "in-your-face" anyways..

Dijidj turned me on to these seatcovers a few weeks back.. all props go to him- not me- for finding these..

These are about a perfect color match in the right sunlight, and IMHO, what the LAVA should have come with in the first place.. I'm sure that to some of you, they borderline -or even cross the border of obnoxious, but then again, ANYONE buying a LAVA, or ANY Scion for that matter knew going into it, that people would think they were a little crazy for buying such an "unconventional" (by US standards ONLY) vehicle..

check out the before and after pics and let me know what you think..

that's why I left the orange front headrests off, IMHO, it was just too much orange.. I might throw them on at a show.. they look for that stuff..
As I said in the original post.. it's not for everybody. Than again, neither is the Hot Lava edition.

yeah they are seat covers not going to get many points at shows for seat covers. I was thinking about the katzkin leathers seat. I seen a car or two here have them what do they run for I went to the website and they said avg price was 680 or so without install. Who has them and how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking.

Got them from wet okole at just under 550 shipped. Katzkins are the next step, but I already have a show car with a fully re-done interior, I'm still trying to convince myself that this is just a commuter! Also, I can take them off if I get tired of them.. I also havent found katskinz in that color yet.

oh, and westsype, you gotta put those katzkins on yourself! unless you know someone with experience.. those hog-loop thinggies are a b*tch!

WET OKOLE = Wet ___ in Hawaiian and it is a Hawaiian based company that has expanded to the mainland. They make the best fitting seat covers on the market when it comes to neoprene but they have one down fall (THEY FADE FROM SUNLIGHT).

Now saying that, they make UV Protectant and Special Washing material for it, but that only does so much. Being that the Xb has a roof, unlike Jeeps and other 4x4s they should hold up well and not fade like the 4x4 industry sees. The only other problem with them is the cost. For that price, you can almost buy new seats from certain companies.

Do I like them, hell ya.....are they worth the cost, not to me, not for slip on covers. If you are going to pay for covers, Katzkins are IMO the best bang for your buck. Leather Covers vice Wet Suit covers is a big deal, granite the price is significantly different as well but if you are going to spend that kind of cash on seat covers, go for the gusto I say.

Mahalo (Thanks)
