Default Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 Kit and drop question...

I am considering ordering this kit after I get the xA, but I was wondering if anybody else has it and is it worth it? I noticed that the rear sway is an add-on bar to go with the factory.

Would I need new shocks for those coil overs?

I also will be getting R1 Racing GTR-4 wheels with 205/40/17s.. My question regarding that is would 1.5" be enough or should I go 2"?

If you haven't noticed, i'm a total n00b at the tuning end

Thanks guys :?

first of all nice find i like that stage 1 kit...as for the "coilovers" i think those are springs not coilovers so you could use the stock struts/shocks but i recommend getting aftermarket shocks/struts cus the make a better setup combination. as for those wheels im assuming that they will fit, where are you getting them from?

I'm getting them from wheelsnext.com.

Clif has the same setup *205/40/17* and he is going to drop it 2" so I probably will go 1.5 to show the differences.

3 hot xa's in the northwest, gotta love it.

Hotchkiss sway bars are cool. I'd say you spend a little more and get coilovers for better tunability. You couldfind hotchkiss front and rear sways for $180.

As for the wheels. I'd say stick with 16's or lower. It seems like your performance oriented and getting 17 inch wheels would be irrelevent. You would be slower. Hope things work out for you
