How widespread is xA/xB clutch slip problem?

Exactly I wonder what the labor would be to put a high performance clutch disc and pressure plate in. I can imagine how much better a real setup would perform.

This sound like the stock clutch is not engineered for the xB. The clutch in my 1991 Mazda truck is perfect after 150,000 miles which includes pulling a 2000 lb boat every summer.

I don't plan to add any performance mods to my xB, but this makes me think that using full power with the stock clutch will eventually make it slip, which won't be covered by warranty, so I will be faced with buying the $300 TRD clutch parts and paying almost $1000 to have them installed. Bummer.
