The only objection that Olde Folkes seem to have with the xB is the ride. If you can live with that, go for it!

The one thing that my older friends really like about the xB is the ease of entry and exit. Very important for those with joint problems!

I'm 55 and have had my camo xB for a month. Most people my age think it's stupid looking and is a "high school kids car" Most people who are somewhat to significantly younger think it's cool.

I say the calendar doesn't matter as much as a frame of mind. I hope to keep my mind into the "cool" stuff and out of "old-foggy-land" for as long as possible.

Hope this is helpful.

I know a guy who can fit your box with an "always on" left blinker. Check the scion catalog- there is a fit-over-sunglasses and gilligan hat option for like $50. I say go for it.

I'm 62 and I bought my xB the end of the summer. If it makes anyone feel any better (or worse), I bought it for my winter car. My summer car is an RX8. And I'm way past my MLC...... :D

awesome, were you disappointed when you got the rx8? cause I heard that it didn't have as much power as it should

Disappointed??? Absolutely not! Mazda reported, at first, that it had 250 hp then later lowered it to 238. I sure didn't buy the car for straight line speed, if I had wanted that there are a lot more cars that could have given me that. I bought it for the looks and handling (and the rear seat). The 300Z TT that I had would have eaten the 8 for breakfast but it is best overall sports car that I have owned. My only complaint is the gas milage ~16-17 city, 20-21 highway. But if I want milage, I drive the xB. It's funny, I get a lot of questions about the 8 from "car people" and a ton more questions about the xB from EVERYONE.

Oh, and by the way, I hope marcelino wasn't talking about me when he said they had sold a "pretty old guy" that "wouldn't be with us for very long" an xB recently. I did buy my xB from his dealership.... :D

No worse than the 84 year old that came and bought one from me. I don't think age should be a factor to worry about.

My Dad bought three cars that he called "the last car I'll every buy" before he passed on, and he tended to keep cars for quite a while. It got to be quite a joke in our family!

Never say never again...

Default I know a retired guy that just bought one

and had seen a handicaped women that owned one. They are easy to drive and offer lots of room in a small pkg. Toyota corolla was made for the 20 30something guess who the average buy is 50+.
